On Jan 6 i decided to start weight watchers with my husband. My goal
is not only to lose weight but to be physically fit. So far this program
seems like a great way to learn how to control my poor eating habits.
Also there are many healthy recipes that look easy to make. As of today i
am 5 days into the program and feel great.
My first
week on the path to my new healthy life and i am exited. It's difficult
to start exercising after eating unhealthy and not working out for so
long. So far I have been able to motivate myself to work out 3 days
already. I went to a spinning class with some friends on Friday and it
was difficult to finish the whole hour. Still exhausted and sore two
days later but i feel great like next time it wont be as hard, i guess
ill find out :). On Monday i completed a four mile walk with my mother
and aunt. It helps having someone to help motivate you. My mom called me
twice and sent text messages until I responded. I was not planning on
joining them, i would rather stay sleeping, but am glad i did. My legs
hurt a bit from the walking but its refreshing. Today, Tuesday, i wasn't
too sore and went for a 30minute walk, 2miles. Still feeling energized i
borrowed my Dad's road bike and road for 45minutes, 11 miles.
As
for the eating, I have been eating well. I prepared a beef stir fry
recipe from weight watchers and it was delicious. The best part is the
recipe is simple that you can change the meats and/or vegetables and
make another different tasting stir fry. Being the fatty that i am, i
was craving a big fat juicy steak. Surprisingly i was able to eat a
steak from Long Horn restaurant with vegetables and parmesan crust. I
have to add that the restaurant also provided us with a nutrition
pamphlet of all their dishes. I have lost 7 pounds so far, you really
can eat what you want and lose weight. :
